Wedding shows, cake tastings, and photographers

Well, I started off the new year with the Seattle wedding show, where I ended up booking our DJ. I went with my mom, Sandy, and maid of honor, Fawn. After getting somewhat lost in the convention center, we made it in time to see the fashion show, try on dresses (including the most absolutely gorgeous dress in the world!), taste hors'd oeuvres, cakes and other goodies, look at about a million photographers and book my DJ. It was a long day but I had great company and good support, although my new posh silver flats gave me a blister.

The planning is moving along, I have been much busier than I anticipated, but hopefully things with work will calm down now that taxes are done! (PHEW!)

So far I am not at all as stressed about it as everyone thinks I should be, but those of you who know me, know that I don't get worried about anything until its actually happening. (Fawn. horse show times 50? lol) however I really appreciate everyone's continued support and prayers. Right now Ben is looking for a good job here, and we could definitely use some prayer there. In this economy it is proving difficult to find a good job that is close. And we all now he needs to have GREAT benefits, at least great medical, to marry me! No, I haven't broken anything new lately, although I injured my neck/shoulder, possibly dislocated it. 2008 was just the year for me to get hurt! After four years of training professionally and never getting hurt, murphy's law. My new years' resolution? Not to have to go to the hospital. ;) That would be fabulous!

I think I've found a photographer at last - I'm going to call him today! His name is Matt Ferrell, at mattferrellphotography.com if you want to see his stuff.

Also, I'm going to ask an old friend - Russell Johnson - to marry me! As the officiant, of course.

As for the dress, I've bought the fabric and my awesome mom is going to make it, as her wedding gift to me. I'm so excited! We're also waiting on the fabric for the bridesmaid dresses, and we'll make those, too.

So that's the photographer, florist, D.J., caterer, officiant, venue, musicians, and dresses (mostly) down. Invitations, cake, and ...a whole lot of things left to go.
Wish me luck!
